Job Description

The Group Copy Supervisor (GCS) is an active contributor to the creative market access team, taking full responsibility of the work and owning concept and copy development on various projects across the portfolio ranging in complexity and scope. The GCS has a proven ability to multitask and delegate as appropriate to ensure seamless management of projects of varying types, while still contributing to idea generation. The GCS is a direct liaison between creative and senior account team members, focused on consistently delivering work that answers strategic, business and creative expectations. The GCS possesses advanced presentation skills and is often called upon to sell work externally. The GCS is also responsible for providing career-building guidance, mentorship and support to the full copy team to foster growth and development.

Qualifications

• 8 years of agency/healthcare writing experience
• At least 3 years of experience in branded and unbranded topics related to managed markets such as PIE presentations, value proposition messaging and presentations, formulary kits, government payer coverage training, and cost and coverage resources
• At least 3 years of agency experience supervising creative content for a brand(s)
• Examples of branded or unbranded collateral conveying key marketing messages and scientific content through a storytelling lens for market access stakeholders, eg, payers, IDNs, health systems and the federal government
• Expertise in extracting relevant information from clinical sources and writing medically accurate copy
• Experience with complex projects that include internal and external account and creative teams
• Client-facing confidence that advances dialogue, sells creative ideas and creates strong agency-client relationships
• Proficient in American Medical Association (AMA) style
• Familiarity with FDA/OPDP regulations and guidelines
• Demonstrates strong leadership abilities to mentor, supervise, and set a career path for more junior-level writers, specifically
  • Proactively monitors the progress of both own and direct reports’ assigned projects, providing direction, input, and feedback on direct reports’ work
  • Coordinates assignments among assigned freelance writers and manages the quality of freelance work before sharing with the broader team (Art, Account, Clinical, etc)
  • Assesses day-to-day copywriting needs and alerts supervisor to coverage gaps within the agency or availability to support other teams as needed
