Job Description

Reports to: Senior Director of Colleague Engagement & Leadership Development

A quick snapshot…

At Conga, we believe in and support continuous improvement through learning and growth - it’s part of the Conga Way. As the Learning and Development Leader, you’ll help create, curate, and deploy a brand-new program for expanding our development offerings.

This will include spearheading a new people-manager program, from inception through facilitation, building and delivering content to instill both management and leadership fundamentals. You will be the brains and face behind the program, which will help our Conganeers worldwide navigate their unique growth journeys.

Why it’s a big deal…

This is a new position for Conga as part of our small but mighty Colleague Engagement team. You'll play a pivotal role in our colleague experience by ensuring everyone, individual contributors and people-managers alike, have access to and take advantage of development that helps them realize their potential.

You’ll draw upon—but not be limited by—content within our LMS, tap into the expertise of SMEs companywide, and partner with external facilitators and Conganeer teams across the organization to create custom training content. The role will also include management of colleague learning activities across the organization (tracking and coordination, course assignments, reporting and metrics, etc.), as well as the presence to share findings and recommendations with senior leadership.

Are you the person we’re looking for?

Passion. We know it when we see it. Passion is not about saying how much you love what you do in your most excited voice. Passion is revealed in your truest self. It’s about what you’ve accomplished; how you want to grow; the ideas you share; your philosophies. It’s demonstrating through your words and your actions that you truly believe in what you do -- and where you work. This works matters to you.

Innovative Thinking. As people evolve, so do our People Teams, processes, and programs. You should be ready to take the initiative to research new ways of learning to improve the way we achieve together and develop our Conganeers.

A Sense of Humor and High EQ. You roll with the punches and have fun along the way. You know how to understand, use, and manage your own emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges, and defuse conflict.

Related Experience. You’ve worked in Leadership Development or Organization Development field for at least seven years. During that time, you’ve been instrumental in developing and deploying a variety of content that has made an impact. You’ve shown that impact by tracking success and connecting development to individual and organizational outcomes (e.g., performance improvement, promotions, etc.).

Background. You’ve designed learning experiences that support greater diversity, equity, and inclusion—including unconscious bias and allyship. You consider yourself a ‘lifelong learner’ who models a growth mindset. Plus, successful completion of a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Organization Development, and/or Communications.

Willingness to Travel. Let’s face it, our Conganeers are global, and we need to support all of them. There will be up to 25% travel required (US and international) for in-person learning delivery and development opportunities.
