Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Principal IT Analyst for part-time employment based in our Orange, California office. This employee will work on-site at the Orange County Sanitation District through our staff augmentation contract. This client needs supplemental fiber optic and networking engineering support staff to help field verify and document existing plantwide fiber optic and networking distribution systems.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • This employee will trace, confirm, and document routing of all fiber optic cables, tube cables, termination distribution units, termination points, point to point distribution etc. The task includes opening of PLC/RIO, field control panels, terminal distribution units, etc. 

  • The proposed candidate shall have experience with air-blown fiber systems, Modbus plus, Ethernet, Modicon S908, Planet IRM, Modicon Ethernet RIO, Fire Alarm and public address systems networks.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology or a related field, and 12 years of professional experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education, including 4 years of leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in computer science or related field of information technology
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
