About the role

Description

The Lead Enterprise Architect translates business needs into technical systems solutions and architectural roadmaps. The Lead Enterprise Architect works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Responsibilities

Partner with IT customers in various domains to understand the business and IT strategy and develop an architecture roadmap to achieve the desired outcomes.  Apply the EA practices framework for Data, Application and Technology architecture to ensure the segment architecture roadmaps are modern and align to documented best practices.  Identify where new Data, Application and Technology architecture is needed and drive forward those use cases to ensure alignment and enterprise adoption within governance processes.  Socialize architecture strategy and develop logical and physical architecture diagrams in collaboration with architects across the organization.  Participates in IT Governance activities associated with engineering practices to ensure compliance with enterprise and solution architecture standards. Develops and implements technology standards. Defines, maintains and executes technology and integration frameworks, conceptual, logical and physical design patterns and services for all solutions.  Provides technical leadership in developing architecture processes and practices throughout the organization.  Decisions are typically related to domain practices, standards, architecture and associated use to enable business outcomes. 

Contribute to the architecture roadmap and build the engineering standards for Application Architecture that is aligned to and supports the strategy for Technology and Data Architecture.

Communicate, socialize and evangelize technology, application and data architecture direction to all delivery teams as well as senior, principal and lead architects and associated leadership.

Set the standards for key non-functional requirements (scalability, availability, maintenance, security, etc.) for all applications and platforms.

Be a leader in fostering a positive work environment, supporting and educating team members through demonstrations, continuous feedback, mentoring, and coaching is expected. Inspire architects and engineers to develop work products that enables innovation of technology and supports new business capabilities and changing operating models.

Collaborating with product management, business strategy, and segment leadership to define and evergreen technology architecture future state.

Define, manage and communicate enterprise technology principles, policies and standards. Support governance to manage all technology decision using the principles, policies and standards.

Enable innovation by using advanced technologies and approaches to transform the existing technology base around cloud, digital, data science, AI/ML, microservices,  eventing and API.

Ensure architecture approaches address technology debt and uses this process to improve efficiencies with an enterprise wide lens.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Progressive experience as a senior architect or technical lead in large IT projects spanning multiple enterprise systems
  • 10 or more years design, development, and testing of software applications
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$135,400 - $186,325 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
