What We Offer

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $91,373 – $150,766. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location

The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site 3 days per week and off-site as needed. The Office of Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency requires 3 days in office at the Wellington Webb Municipal Building. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

As the Climate Action Data Analytics and Impact Lead, you will provide impactful analysis, insights, and evaluation for CASR leadership to ensure CASR can make data driven decisions to do the highest impact work for our community. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Strategy & Leadership – Aligning data management priorities with the CASR executive leadership team goals and priorities. Implementing and leading an office-wide Data Leadership Team that will engage program managers in a consistent data strategy and approach. Managing contractors and vendors used by CASR to support data related outcomes. Hiring and supervising one associate data analyst in support of this work.
  • Data Policies, Procedures, and Standardization - Developing and implementing policies, procedures, business practices, and control mechanisms, to assure data integrity and access. Establishing qualitative and quantitative data management practices for standardized data collection, storage, retention, governance, organization, and quality control from CASR programs, participants, vendors and contractors, other city agencies, external partners and relevant climate data sources.
  • Data Source Management & Integration – Building the data fabric for the disparate data sources across multiple programs and projects to bring needed data into a common analytics platform.  This will include a combination of tools and techniques (API, Snowflake/Data Hub, AWS services, etc.) to cost effectively integrate data sources into a secured and cleansed single source of truth.
  • Managing Budget, Contracts, and Vendors – Establishing and managing a yearly budget and contractors. Managing work with our vendors to assist in developing data solutions for CASR teams.
  • Impact Monitoring and Evaluation – Establishing KPIs, other metrics and data analysis tools (i.e., dashboards) to continuously monitor program performance and provide decision makers the ability to report and evaluate across programs/projects/investments.
  • Analytics and Information Visualization – Designing and creating interactive dashboards, charts, graphs, maps, and other visualizations using various tools and software to help stakeholders understand information and make informed decisions.
