Basic Purpose
Supervise uniformed security forces permanently stationed at Will Rogers Air National Guard Base, OKC, OK. Ensure that security officers have the knowledge, training, and job skills to effectively perform their duties. Provide overall direction for quality performance. Maintain a constant and effective communication with the Force Protection Officer. Maintain adequate staffing levels at all facilities ensuring that accumulation of compensatory and overtime are kept to a minimum and within budgetary confines.

Typical Functions
- Supervise uniformed security forces permanently stationed at Will Rogers Air National Guard Base, OKC, OK.
- Ensure that security officer have the knowledge, training and job skills to effectively perform their duties.
- Provide overall direction for quality performance.
- Maintain a constant and effective communication with the Force Protection Officer.
- Ensure all contract requirements between the State of Oklahoma and National Guard Bureau are completed.
- Maintain adequate staffing levels at all facilities ensuring that accumulation of compensatory and overtime are kept to a minimum and within budgetary confines.
- Maintain and have oversight of Will Rogers Air National Guard Base facilities force protection.
- Monitor and supervise security policies, programs or procedures to ensure compliance with internal security policies, licensing requirements, or applicable government security requirements and directives.
- Maintain accountability of all equipment including individually assigned items and location assigned equipment.
- Regularly inventory and maintain adequate supplies or equipment and reorder as necessary to maintain support of personnel.
- Maintain a current Armed Security Guard License with the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET).
- Attend CLEET mandated training per year.
- Attend additional CLEET continuing education training when available.
- Attend joint training with local, state, and federal security agencies, emergency service organizations.
- Conduct on-site investigations at Will Rogers Air National Guard Base facilities as directed by the Force Protection Officer. If the incident or accident is investigated by another law enforcement or security agency assist the affected unit in completing all necessary reports and coordinate as needed between the unit and law enforcement agency. Provide the Force Protection Officer with the written preliminary report as soon as practical and then a detailed complete report as soon as possible once the incident has been resolved or closed.
- Management of key control program to ensure accountability of facility keys. Conduct key inventory as required.
- Supervise the security officer supervisors at each site.
Level Descriptor
At this level employees are assigned responsibilities involving the direction of a security program, including the supervision of lower level supervisors who are responsible for various units or shifts that are part of the program. In this role, they will plan and direct all operations and activities related to the security program, coordinate requirements with other law enforcement agencies and officials as needed, and establish necessary policies and procedures concerning traffic control, accident investigations, and other functions.
Education and Experience
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of five years of experience in law enforcement or security work or direct care of juveniles in a secure residential facility including one year in a supervisor
