Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Equity and Access Programs, the Project Rebound Program Director provides management and guidance in support of the recruitment and success of formerly incarcerated students transitioning into higher education and supervises staff and student personnel. The incumbent supports a broad range of projects involving the development, planning, assessment and execution of programmatic and operational needs, including budget oversight and operational efficiency and effectiveness. The incumbent serves as a strategic partner and liaison with campus and community resources, advocating for program participants and managing the coordination of wraparound student support services. The incumbent ensures compliance with university and program policies, coordinates student services for academic and career success, and assists in the management of program operations and personnel.

Key Qualifications

This position requires three years of progressively responsible professional experience in educational or student support services, with at least one year of experience in program management or coordination, including 1 year of progressively responsible and applicable management and/or supervisory experience. Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, social work, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Must possess demonstrated ability to support and advocate for underrepresented and underserved populations, particularly formerly incarcerated individuals. Experience building partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders highly preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace; familiarity with PeopleSoft and EAB Navigate preferred.

Salary and Benefits

Starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $6,000- $6,250 a month. This position is a member of the Management Personnel Plan and serves at the pleasure of the President.

This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
