About the role

The Recruiter is responsible for managing the entire recruitment lifecycle to attract, engage, and hire top talent that aligns with the organization's goals and culture. This role involves partnering with hiring managers, sourcing candidates, and providing a positive candidate experience while adhering to best practices and legal compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in recruitment or human resources, along with in-depth knowledge of screening, interviewing, and hiring processes. Essential Job Functions
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements, business objectives, and team dynamics.
• Develop and implement effective strategies to source and attract qualified candidates.
• Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals.
• Build and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future openings.
• Review resumes and applications to identify potential candidates.
• Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring teams, providing necessary preparation materials.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process, from interview preparation to final offer negotiation.
• Ensure timely communication and provide feedback to candidates.
• Ensure all recruitment activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Represent the company at job fairs, career events, and networking functions.
• Promote the organization’s values and culture to prospective candidates.
• Track and analyze recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of sourcing and hiring strategies.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on recruitment progress and market trends.
• Provide coaching and guidance to hiring managers.
Experience/ Training/ Education
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in human resources management or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in recruiting, with a focus on warehouse and commercial driver positions or in-house recruitment.
• Experience with Dayforce or other applicant tracking systems (ATS) and sourcing tools.
• Experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with hiring managers and organizational leaders.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability
• Advanced knowledge of productivity software, database management, and Internet search methods
• Knowledge of warehouse and DOT driver recruiting experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of various recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and ZipRecruiter.
• Knowledge of recruitment tools, ATS platforms, and best practices.
• Knowledge of employer branding and strategies for enhancing the company's reputation as an employer of choice.
• Familiarity with employment laws and regulations related to recruitment and hiring.
• Proven success in conducting interviews using various methods (phone, video, email, in-person)
• Strong sourcing, interviewing, and relationship management skills.
• Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for identifying and attracting top talent.
• Must have the ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints.
• Ability to assess candidates for both technical skills and cultural fit.
• Ability to travel when required
• Ability to work well in a team environment but thrive independently.
• Motivated, self-started, energetic, and a positive attitude is a MUST.
Working Conditions
Generally, work a 40-hour week, with some shifts or extended hours during busy periods. Working under pressure is unavoidable when schedules change and problems arise, but deadlines and goals must still be met. Recruiters typically work across multiple locations. They do research and communicate with candidates and companies while working at desks in office settings. However, they may also travel to seek candidates at job fairs, meet with companies, and interview potential applicants. When traveling to job fairs, recruiters generally work in convention centers.
