About the role

Purpose of Position

The Global Travel & Logistics Program Manager, Senior supports the strategic direction for the inflight dining, ground services, airline, hotel and / or technology programs ($300M+ in spend).  With guidance from the Global Travel & Logistics Leadership Team,  executes corporate initiatives designed to achieve innovative culinary and business travel solutions across all NetJets business units.  The Global Travel & Logistics Program Manager, Senior is responsible for developing and monitoring KPI's including spend and service to ensure they are within defined limits.  The Global Travel & Logistics Program Manager, Senior helps create a culture of continuous improvement; focused on simplificiation, innovation, safety, and service improvements.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Brand ambassador for airline, hotel, ground, and / or inflight dining programs; collaborate with internal and external partners to provide education and communication on program offerings and improvements 
  • Mitigate operational risk by creating and maintaining a scalable supply chain for all economic conditions with a strong awareness of market conditions 
  • Manage deviations for all process owners; complete root cause analysis and identify themes and actionable insights 
  • Maintain management of feedback, supplier performance and program KPI's, holding suppliers accountable to SLA's and order acceptance 
  • Recommend, prioritize and implement improvements to current processes and procedures to allow for program scability while enhacing overall program quality 
  • Collaborate on procurement processes to include the processes associated with contacting/researching new supplier leads, onboarding of the new supplier, conducting RFP's and contracutal requirements
  • Execute functional projects with medium resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity 
  • Manage special event planning, coordination, sourcing, and execution for peak period and key events
  • Cross-train with Global Travel & Logistics Program Managers to provide additional resources to domains as needed
  • Special projects as assigned by leaders in Global Travel & Logistics team
  • Closely engage with the Global Travel & Logistics Coordinators and Program Managers to ensure strategy is being properly executed; use to identify new opportunities process and program improvements 
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of informationProvide informal guidance to new team members

Education

Bachelor's in Travel or Hospitality

  • Related work experience of at least 8-10 years may be accepted in lieu of bachelors degree 
  • Global Distribution System (GDS), IJETII knowledge highly preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products required
  • Proven success as a change agent;  successful track record of project implementations 
  • Demonstrated expertise in supplier management including negotiating, contract management, problem resolution, training and ability to build solid partnership relationships with extensive supply base
  • Financial acumen required 
  • Prior program management experience required
  • Ability to be successful in a highly collaborative environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and in crisis situations 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound leadership and interpersonal skills
