Job Summary

The Cyber Security Software Engineering team is looking for a solution architect who will work with our product and engineering teams in designing and implementing authentication, authorization, token issuance, and PKI certificate-based solutions. The architect will work with Comcast’s internal and external stakeholders to propose solutions to their business needs and requirements, assist the engineering and development teams in understating those needs, and assist in developing and integrating those solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to design and assist in implementing and integrating innovative security solutions.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities 

 

• Assist the product and engineering team in analyzing and understanding technical stakeholder requirements and objectives related to authentication, authorization, token issuing, and certificate management. 

• With the engineering team, assist in designing technical solutions that will align with stakeholder needs. 

• Collaborate with the onboarding and integration of stakeholders’ applications. 

• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tooling to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency in managing infrastructure. 

• With the engineering team, develop monitoring solutions to identify and resolve issues proactively. Assist incident response efforts and post-mortems to ensure continuous improvement. 

• Ensure the security and compliance of solutions. Implement best practices for secure development, monitoring, and security incident response. 

• Participate in troubleshooting of stakeholder integrations during development and production incidents. 

• Mentor team members by sharing knowledge and collaborating. 

• Communicate effectively with both engineering and leadership teams, ensuring clarity and alignment. 

• Actively engage in Agile team ceremonies, helping to balance and prioritize stakeholder demands and technical debt. 

 

Requirements: 

• 5 years of experience designing, and integrating REST, GraphQL, XML APIs. 

• 3 years of IDP or application experience designing or implementing SAML, OIDC, and Oauth AuthN/AuthZ protocols.
