REPORTS TO: FISH BUY PROGRAM MANAGER HOURS: 40 HRS/WK – FULL TIME

POSITION SUMMARY:
Helping the Fish Buying Coordinator with all aspects of the job.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Helps oversee buying of fish from Tribal members at station and ensures that Tribal Member fishers have proper identification. (i.e. fishing cards, updated stickers, no helpers cards accepted)
2. Makes sure ice is always available for the buying station and fishers as needed
3. Contact Tribal Enforcement if there are any problems
4. Responsible for grading fish purchased from fishermen.
5. Maintains coolers and freezers as needed.
6. Sets up and maintains fish buying station.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
8. Drive truck to and from the buying station to get ice and deliver fish
9. Drive a fork lift
10. All fish that are not being sold to the buyer will be put on the fish ticket take- home section.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training are required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Intermediate computer skills in Word and Excel required to assist with records maintenance.
Language Skills
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to keep track of the fish tickets, keeping track of the number of fish, and keeping accurate weights.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Licenses or Certificates
• Must have and keep a current Fish Buying License from NWIFC/ Puyallup Tribe.
• Must have Valid State Driver’s License and proof of insurance.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Ability to work with all personalities in a diversified setting.
