Job Description:
This is a managerial position in the MaineDOT's Region 4 Headquarters within the Bureau of Maintenance and Operations. Work involves oversight and administration of the M&O work management, work reporting and asset management system (MATS). This position will be involved in many aspects of the Bureau's work management and performance analysis efforts. This position oversees and supports work planning and reporting associated with the following crews: building maintenance, asset inventory associates, carpenters, assistant data manager, guardrail program administrator for the region. This position is also responsible for regional work plan development and implementation. Additionally, this position functions as the "Building TOM" and is responsible for ensuring the maintenance and reporting of all regional buildings, lots, rest areas, keeping all up to stale standards and conditions. This position also fills in for other Transportation Operation Managers, within the region, when they are unavailable or on leave.
This position works closely with the other Region Data Managers to establish and uphold statewide data management policies. This position will require travel and field work related to the assessment and evaluation of the Region's building assets. Work is performed under limited supervision. Preference will be given to candidates who possess hands-on experience working with MATS, an understanding of the Bureau’s emergency response obligations and capabilities, experience working with contracts/contractors, and knowledge of building construction and maintenance.
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:
A four (4) year combination of training, experience, and/or education in highway maintenance and/or construction. 1 year minimum supervisory experience is required.
