Learn more at <a href="http://www.harmonicinc.com">www.harmonicinc.com</a>.     Role Description  We are looking for a Senior Lab Support Engineer  You will report to the Director of System Integration &amp; QA, Broadband business unit    Location    On-site – working 5 days a week from our offices in Rennes    What you will be doing:  Management and maintenance of R&amp;D Lab, which contains HW setups under testing including networking components (switches/routers/servers).    <ul><li>Equipment accounting: account each device we're getting in the Rennes Lab, unbox, stick Harmonic assets, filling documantation,</li><li>Communicating with IL Lab support (in English), RnD Teams, local IT, local contractors in order to build and configure the Lab,</li><li>Control patching, electricity, air conditioning, fire protection works in the Lab,</li><li>Distribute, install and connect equipment physically in the lab: switches, servers, RPDs, CMs, PON equipment,</li><li>Install and maintain VMWare,</li><li>Install Linux/Windows VMs from templates,</li><li>Maintain Rennes setups and equipment documentation: Confluence, LabX, Visio, etc.,</li><li>Control that everything is installed, connected, configured according to the topology,</li><li>Monitor Lab's environment and safety: temperature, protection,</li><li>Control access to the Lab and make the lab clean,</li><li>In the future - take a part in configuring switches and cores to make setups work,</li><li>In the future - be a mentor and a leader for a second Lab support employee in Rennes.</li></ul>  What you should have:    <ul><li>BA/MA degree in technical sciences</li><li>3 years of Data Centers maintaining experience: cabling, wiring, equipment accounting and physical installation, etc</li><li>Networking hands on experience (routers/switches configuration)</li><li>Basic Networking knowledge (CCNA level)</li><li>Juniper switches knowledge is an advantage</li><li>Linux, VmWare, Zabbix knowledge</li><li>High technical abilities, good proven debugging abilities (failure point finding)</li><li>Excellent inter-personal skills and high customer service awareness</li><li>High initiative and time management skills</li><li>Good reporting and documentation maintenance skills</li><li>Fluent English (writing and speaking)</li></ul>  Diversity, Equality, and &amp; Inclusion at Harmonic Inc    At Harmonic, we believe that building and nurturing a global team with diverse backgrounds and voices is critical to our success.
