About the Position

The position Administrative Lead of the School-Based Mental Health grant is a leadership position for a $5,000,000 grant from January 2025 to December 31, 2029. Thus, this position requires 80% of time to be focused on leading the grant, and 15% of time to be focused on program and mission sustainability. The federally-funded grant is a collaboration between the Dean of the College of Education and Allied Studies (the PI), the Co-PI (Assistant Professor), and the following partners: Chabot Community College, San Leandro USD, San Lorenzo USD, Hayward USD, and the CSUEB Community Counseling Clinic. The Administrative Lead will report directly to the Dean of the College of Education and Allied Studies, and they will receive ongoing tasks from his designee. The primary duties of the Administrative Lead will be to (a) build relationships with district and community college partners; (b) directly coordinate the work direction of administrative personnel at CSUEB; (c) serve as a lead with administrators across districts; (d) serve as the accountability lead for all grant-funded subrecipients; (e) coordinate data collection and reporting throughout the life of the grant; (f) serve as the primary fiscal and administrative lead for the grant; (g) and use 15% of their time to seek grants to sustain and extend the mission of the grant.

This is a full-time, grant funded, temporary position through December 31, 2025 with the possibility of re-appointment.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Management of the Grant
• Develop strong knowledge of CSUEB/CSU fiscal, ORSP, personnel, and procurement policies and procedures.
• Serve as a lead who directly works with k-12 district administrators and community college administrators to maintain and/or build relationships with them.
• Leads the work direction of a part-time administrative staff member who is responsible for the logistics of the School-Based Mental Health grant: i.e., working with ORSP directly, billing organizations, collecting information from the multiple programs as required, and coordinating meetings.
• Lead, give direction to, and provide technical assistance to the faculty and staff leads of multiple grant-funded sites throughout the housed at k12 districts, Chabot Community College, and at CSUEB.
• Hold regular meetings with faculty and staff leads of School-Based Mental Health grant-funded projects to ensure that they are completing the required tasks on time and ensuring that deliverables are achieved as outlined in the grant.
• Coordinate data collection by the Evaluation Team.
• Meet regularly with the School-Based Mental Health Grant Co-PI.
• As needed, meet regularly with the PI and Co-PI of the grant.
• Complete a
