Otterbein is a vibrant, faith-based, not-for-profit ministry serving older adults throughout Ohio and in Indiana. Otterbein Cridersville has an opening for a fulltime Executive Director.

The Executive Director leads the delivery of high-quality services in a person-centered environment. Responsibilities include managing the day-to day operations of the community, driving short term and long-term planning activities, serving on the Otterbein Operations Team, and creating a culture of partner and resident engagement. A key responsibility is overseeing the sales and marketing of independent living housing and referral marketing for assisted living.

Additional essential functions of the Executive Director role include:

  • Develops and maintains systems for communicating with residents and staff on important issues including the resolution of concerns and complaints.
  • Assures operations are in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations and Otterbein policies and procedures.
  • Selects, supervises, coaches, develops and retains a high caliber of staff.
  • Develops, monitors, and reports statistical information and quality indicators used to evaluate operations and to develop quality improvement plans Develops, presents and administers the community’s annual business plan, annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Participates in corporate teams to share best practices and work assignments related to corporate operations.
  • Represents Otterbein in the community

Qualifications

  • A mission-driven passion for serving older adults
  • Understand how to place decision-making in the hands of the older adults whenever possible and appropriate.
  • Make prompt and accurate judgments with regard to care and emergencies.
  • Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with persons who are ill, disabled, elderly, and/or emotionally upset.
  • Excellent literacy, writing, documentations, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Education: Bachelor's in health/Long-Term Administration, Business, Gerontology, or related field, preferred. Master’s degree is a plus
  • Licensure/Certification: Have current Ohio LNHA license
  • Experience: At least three years Long Term Care Administrator experience required
