Job Summary:

This internship program is designed to empower growth by exploring the dynamic nature of the defense industry throughout Raytheon Operations & Supply Chain (OSC). Your summer will be focused in Systems Engineering in our Transformation team within our Operations & Supply Chain Excellence organization. Throughout the summer, you will be able to expand your knowledge of OSC as a whole while also gaining unprecedented exposure to leadership along the way.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Identify throughput constraints by performing capacity, simulation, what-if scenario analysis.
• Drive factory improvement project priorities through the use of analytical tools.
• Coordinate factory capability needs for yield improvements and new technology.
• Identify and participate in improvement projects to support constraint elimination.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean Principles to include the use of value stream maps, line balancing, and error proofing.
• Support manufacturing objectives for cost, quality, on time delivery and safety.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Candidate must be enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's or masters degree program in the area of Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field by Summer 2025
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
• Strong analytical skills – comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative data
• Strong knowledge of and experience in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel)
• Experience with AutoCAD LT (2D)
• Challenges the conventional—you can solve problems while thinking beyond the accepted solutions
• Team player—you know when to step up to lead, but also when to take a step back and contribute in a group setting
• Flexible and up for a challenge—when faced with difficult tasks, you don’t give up but instead push forward
• Strong ability to work in teams and collaborate with peers and internal customers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn new processes quickly and effectively multi-task
