The   Finance Supervisor oversees the financial operations of Mystis Adult and Family Services, ensuring efficient processing of financial transactions and compliance with Medi-Cal, CCAH, and organizational policies. The role involves supervising finance staff, managing audits, and improving financial workflows for housing-related assistance programs.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Oversight & Supervision
    • Supervise finance team members, including Financial Specialists and Billing Coordinators.
    • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial processing and reporting.
    • Implement and enforce financial policies and procedures.
  2. Billing & Compliance
    • Oversee the submission of Medi-Cal Community Supports claims and housing-related financial assistance requests.
    • Ensure invoices submitted to CCAH and other agencies follow established guidelines.
    • Monitor compliance with state, federal, and internal regulations.
  3. Budget & Financial Management
    • Assist in the development of budgets for housing assistance and other financial programs.
    • Monitor expenditures and track financial assistance payments.
    • Prepare financial reports and provide recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.
  4. Vendor & External Relations
    • Liaise with landlords, utility companies, and vendors to ensure smooth payment processes.
    • Address and resolve financial disputes with vendors.
    • Represent the finance department in external meetings related to housing financial assistance.
  5. Audit & Risk Management
    • Participate in financial audits and ensure record-keeping aligns with Medi-Cal and CCAH reimbursement requirements.
    • Address discrepancies in financial documentation and improve internal controls.
    • Train finance team members on best practices for financial compliance.


Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or billing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with healthcare finance, Medi-Cal claims, and nonprofit finance preferred.
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills.
  • Expertise in QuickBooks, financial reporting, and budgeting tools.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with case managers and program directors.
