RSDC is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Facilitator to manage and serve as event facilitator for a series of workshops, with an understanding of environmental justice issues and the offshore energy environment. support a project with the Department of Interior via our Joint Venture, Alankok.


As our Project Manager/Facilitator, your job will be to coordinate people, and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization, deliverables, and timeline. Project Manager/Facilitator responsibilities include developing a detailed project management plan (aligned with Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) principles), work breakdown structure (WBS), project schedule, coordinating task, staff, and project activities to ensure every project deliverable is completed on time and within budget and scope. The Project Manager/Facilitator will serve as facilitator and outreach specialist for a series of Environmental Justice focused workshops. Our Project Manager/Facilitator will provide strategic guidance to assist in meeting the clients’ requirements in the soliciting of stakeholder viewpoints, meeting facilitation, and development of an Environmental Justice Strategy and Action Plan, keeping the team and stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager/Facilitator should be an excellent communicator, collaborator, comfortable managing multiple tasks and team members with varied backgrounds and experience levels, in addition to having a problem-solving aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Project Management Plan (PMP) and WBS
  • Conduct project planning and monitoring of progress
  • Formulate, organize, and monitor project task activities
  • Keep the team, leadership, and stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle
  • Develop and control deadlines, activities, and deliverables
  • Apply change, risk, and resource management
  • Prepare or provide inputs to required reporting (weekly reporting & monthly status reports)
  • Measure project progress and performance, aligned with the Statement of Work
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders and other third parties
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Coordinate with the IDIQ Project Manager
  • Ensure project is delivered on-time, withing scope and within budget
  • Complete project closeout activities
  • Support project activities to plan, conduct, facilitate, and ensure team documentation of workshops to solicit stakeholder feedback
  • Lead development of workshop agenda, presentations, and other materials
  • Serve as Workshop facilitator
  • Support stakeholder outreach and coordination
  • Lead development of updated Environmental Justice Strategy and Action Plan
  • Support project task activities

Requirements

  1. US Citizenship is required
  2. BS/BA in management or a relevant field; MS/MA is a plus
  3. PMP certification is a plus
  4. Proven experience as a Project or Program Manager
  5. Proven experience as a Facilitator
  6. Understanding of environmental justice concerns and the offshore energy environment
  7. Thorough understanding of project management techniques and methods (PMBOK)
  8. Excellent client-facing and internal communications skills
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  10. Outstanding leadership, planning, and organizational skills
  11. Ability to manage group dynamics and resolve conflicts
  12. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  13. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills,
  14. Flexible and adaptable
  15. Ability to think critically and analyze information
  16. Ability to build and maintain relationships with group members
  17. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
