Overview

A Senior Account Executive is responsible for the execution and management of client programs, including coordinating and implementing projects; regularly interfacing with client representatives; and supervising and mentoring account team members.

Responsibilities

  • Drive effective implementation of client PR programs
    • Manage people and projects to deliver high quality results on-time and on-budget
    • Anticipate issues
    • Delegate and assign work among team members
    • Make recommendations for ways to meet client needs
    • Serve as a representative of the client and agency on-site at client events
    • Assist account team leads with account financials: develop and manage budgets, fee estimates, out-of-pocket expenses, etc.
    • Regularly monitor to ensure execution is staying on-budget; regularly report budget status to account team lead and/or agency management
    • Provide analysis to clients of program results
    • Develop creative ideas and tactical elements for client programs
    • Monitor and identify relevant cultural trends, conversations and partnership opportunities that support client objectives.
    • Coordinate with integrated agency teams, partners and vendors to support seamless execution of client programs.
    • Support experiential, influencer, talent and partnership activations from planning through execution.
  • Serve as a client contact and maintain relationships with key client personnel
    • Accommodate and anticipate client needs; make recommendations to clients
    • Respond to requests for information from clients in a timely manner
    • Participate in client calls, meetings, presentations to the client and client brainstorms; attend client events
  • Recognize and seek opportunities to grow client accounts
  • Maintain relationships with key contacts at traditional and social media outlets; leverage those relationships to obtain desired media coverage on behalf of the agency and/or clients
  • Compile presentations for new business and business renewal proposals; participate in new business and/or business renewal pitches as determined by a supervisor
  • Participate in agency brainstorm sessions for client programs
  • Develop and foster relationships with suppliers
  • Actively participate in agency committees or departments as designated/asked
  • Demonstrate an interest in the long-range health of the agency
  • Represent the agency in professional associations

Ability to:

  • Understand the clients’ business and relevant industry trends and use the information to develop strategic PR ideas
  • Manage multiple accounts and projects
  • Train and mentor junior and mid-level staff
  • Effectively delegate work among team members
  • Travel to client and event locations; meet with clients at their office locations/headquarters
  • Demonstrate strong writing, editing, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Show integrity and good judgment when working with colleagues and clients
  • Deal constructively with client and personnel situations

Qualifications

  • B.A. in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or the like
  • Three (3) to four (4) years’ experience in a public relations agency or similar position
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Interest in sports, entertainment, music and culture, with an understanding of how these spaces create earned media opportunities for brands.
  • Familiarity with football fandom, country culture and adjacent lifestyle communities.
  • Experience supporting integrated PR, experiential and cultural marketing programs.
  • Understanding of emerging cultural trends, creators, talent and media landscapes.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Ability to build relationships with media, partners, talent representatives and other external stakeholders.

Compensation

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, the Company believes the target range of base compensation for this role is $70K - 85K.
