Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 1+ years of Security Experience
• 21+ years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with supervisors and/or public agency contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, checking for proper access authorization and assisting with directions and general assistance as needed.
• Support day-to-day operations at a government transportation location by observing activity, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and following post orders and/or applicable protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
