Summary
Provides analysis that supports the growth and maintenance of both SRP Federal and State Political Action Committees, known as the SRP Political Involvement Committee and the SRP Alumni Political Involvement Committee, respectively. Perform data and process analysis to inform PIC’s strategy for membership recruitment, event outreach, communication and database management. Analyzes campaign finance reporting and data points along with election research to further PIC’s fund growth and educational events that support complex public affairs initiatives in alignment with corporate goals & objectives for the benefit of SRP customers, employees, shareholders, and retirees.
What You'll Do
- Develop and prepare PIC reference materials including federal, state and local campaign finance tracking in a specialized industry database and library and meeting material including setting agendas and special requests ensuring information and data are consistent, accurate, timely, and readily available.
- Shares intelligence, advice and counsel to PIC Manager on federal, state and local campaign and elections that affect the organization including images, key messages, internal and external communications.
- Contribute to the process for PIC member pre-educational event analysis, ongoing tracking, and post-educational event analysis for all PIC events and activities.
- Analyze and monitor communication with PIC membership including email and website content. Communication is tracked through an industry specific database and recommendations are made to PIC Manager based on data analysis for PIC member outreach including updates to website communications.
- Provide analytical support as needed throughout the PIC organization relating to member recruitment and cultivation based on industry best practices and industry specific database analysis.
- Lead database management and maintenance of membership data in industry specific database.
- Assists with bi-weekly tracking of Federal and State PAC budgets, payment of contributions to campaigns, and reviews compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws. Requires regular review of relevant campaign finance laws and interpretations working closely to share findings with PIC Manager, PIC Treasurer, PIC Legal Counsel, outside counsel and relevant industry groups.
