Position Overview:

The Director of Network Engineering will provide visionary leadership to drive the future state of the CoverMyMeds network & network security infrastructure. This role is critical to the evolution of our technology strategy, focusing on the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of our network architecture. The director will lead a high-performing team responsible for end-to-end network solutions and transport technologies. This individual must be a strong leader with a proven track record of delivering large-scale network projects, ensuring our network is reliable, scalable, secure, and ready for future growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the network engineering and architecture strategy in alignment with CoverMyMeds broader Technology Modernization efforts and business objectives.
Network Transformation: Lead the design and implementation of next-generation network infrastructure, including Software-Defined Networking (SDN), automation, and the integration of cloud-native technologies to ensure agility, scalability, and performance.

Network Integration: Integrate existing networks of multiple legacy acquisitions into a modern network architecture consistent with enterprise goals for network interoperability and management
Cloud and Edge Networking: Drive initiatives to integrate cloud-based networking solutions, including hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, enhancing connectivity for distributed applications and services.
Security & Compliance: Ensure network security is integrated into the architecture design, focusing on Zero Trust, network segmentation, and encryption technologies, and align with compliance requirements.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Enterprise Networking, IT, cybersecurity, operations, and business units, to ensure network infrastructure meets the evolving needs of the business and customers.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation within the network engineering team, leveraging emerging technologies like AI/ML for network automation, predictive maintenance, and performance optimization.
Operational Excellence: Implement industry-leading best practices for network monitoring, incident response, and lifecycle management, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience/education.
• 12+ years of experience in network engineering and/or architecture roles, with at least 8 years in executive leadership positions.
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Strong background in network security, including firewall technologies, encryption, and Zero Trust architectures.
• Proven experience managing networking teams and driving organizational change.<
