SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – JLL
What this job involves:
As a Construction Senior Project Manager for a prestigious national account, you'll serve as the central point of coordination for administrative and construction projects across the Mid-Hudson Valley region of New York. This role combines strategic project oversight with hands-on execution, requiring you to manage the complete project lifecycle from initial scope development through final closeout. You'll work directly with a high-profile client, leading cross-functional teams and managing contractor relationships while ensuring projects meet JLL's rigorous standards for quality, budget, and timeline adherence. This position offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence on complex workplace projects while building lasting client relationships in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Project Leadership & Execution: Oversee entire project workflows from kickoff through handover, managing scope development, risk mitigation, change orders, and punch list activities while preventing scope creep through disciplined project controls.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate seamlessly with transaction managers, facilities teams, building engineers, occupancy planners, low voltage managers, and move managers to ensure integrated project delivery.
Vendor & Contractor Management: Prepare RFPs, lead vendor selection processes, negotiate contracts, and interface regularly with architects, contractors, property managers, and client staff to drive project success.
Site Presence & Quality Oversight: Travel to job sites regularly (up to 80%) to verify performance criteria are met, conduct inspections, and address field issues in real-time.
Meeting Facilitation & Communication: Organize and chair project meetings (in-person and virtual), distribute meeting minutes with clear action items, and provide regular status updates and reporting to client stakeholders.
Technology & Process Excellence: Leverage project management technology and JLL systems to ensure data accuracy, generate client reports, maintain comprehensive documentation, and support continuous process improvement.
Strategic Advisory: Provide pricing scenarios during scope development, develop and maintain Risk Registers, and offer expert guidance to clients throughout program development phases.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field
7-10 years of progressive project management experience in corporate real estate, facilities, or construction environments
Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with substantial budgets and competing priorities
Proven experience in client-facing roles with senior-level stakeholders, including relationship building and service delivery excellence
Strong command of project management methodologies, tools, and industry best practices, including change management and risk mitigation
Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience contributing to business development activities including proposals, presentations, and client pitches
Track record of driving operational improvements and process refinement in project delivery
