Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position spends more than 50% of the time engaged in supervisory responsibilities. This includes communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees in addition to planning and directing employees’ work. The incumbent has the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such action. The incumbent will also be required to develop performance expectations, meet with staff regularly to discuss performance, complete performance reviews, maintain vacation and work schedules, ensuring proper coverage, and complete timesheets.
Coordinate with the Division of Community Health Promotion, and the Office of Minority Health, for implementation, administration, monitoring, evaluation, analysis, technical assistance, training, and outreach of the Telehealth Minority Maternity Care Program (TMMC Program).
The incumbent is also responsible for administrating and resolving operational and management problems related to the TMMC Program. Responsible for preparing program briefs in a timely manner. Oversight of program data and respond to data requests.
Oversee the budget, legislative planning activities, presentations, and assignments related to the TMMC Program. Ensure the program complies with the Florida Statutes and the legislative implementation plan. Conduct bill analysis, as assigned.
The incumbent is responsible for the development and evaluation of the Requests for Applications and securing program providers. Monitoring the execution and implementation of contracts established with providers under section 383.2163, Florida Statutes. Evaluate the operational aspects of the deliverables from the organizations according to the contract Attachment I Tasks. Ensure provider contracts are monitored, as required. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the providers to determine best practices. The incumbent is also responsible for developing statements of work and monitoring purchase orders.

Must possess fundamental knowledge and understanding of program evaluation and management.
Must possess an understanding of the operation of health care organizations.
Must possess skills for developing, evaluating, and implementing contractual activities.
Must have leadership, supervisory, and management skills.
Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with various audiences.
Must have strong writing skills with experience in grant writing and development.
Must have computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
