POSITION SUMMARY: The Reverb and Rotary Crew Supervisor is a working position that maintains production operations and requirements during work shift. 

REPORTS TO: Production Manager

SUPERVISES: Operators and Furnace Operators

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Motivate, support, and provide guidance to production staff
  • Ensure that safety standards are met to keep the organization accident free
  • Troubleshoot production issues
  • End of shift reporting to ensure maximum output and quality is being met
  • Communicate regularly with production manager
  • Evaluate machines and equipment to ensure continued production with minimal downtime
  • Work alongside operators to maintain production
  • Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position.
  • Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.


Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous foundry experience preferred 
  • Forklift license required – on the job training and licensure will be provided
  • Previous leadership experience preferred but not required

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs 
  • Physical Requirements: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.  
  • Visual Acuity: ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including to make general observations of facilities.  
  • The worker is subject to environmental conditions. Some protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Also subject to dust, dirt, and extreme noise.
