We are currently seeking a Senior Principal Software Engineer to join Air C2 and Sensors software department in San Diego, California.

What you will do:

The C2 SW product team uses DevSecOps processes and best industry practices to provide mission critical applications and platform services to meet the threats of today and tomorrow.

• Design, develop, and test software updates existing software baseline to drive C2 capabilities forward
• Software development and deployment using Agile methods, SW pipeline, and containerized deployments
• Maintain Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
• Work onsite at San Diego, CA

Qualifications you must have:

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience including experience in Software Development and Deployment
• At least 5 years of experience with Java, containerized deployments (including Docker, Podman, Kubernetes), Gitlab.
• Experience in analysis, design, and integration with software development and deployment.
• Experience in integration and troubleshooting issues.
• Experience working in a team-focused development environment, such as Agile/SCRUM.
• Experience working with automated testing and continuous integration and deployment.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred).

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Java, Python, GoLang
• 2+ years of experience with Containerized Deployments
• Combat Systems experience

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
