Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

Job Summary

As the Senior Catering Manager for a premier corporate client located in Hudson Yards, you will be responsible for the successful execution of all catering events. This position ensures success from the planning stages through execution of the event and follow up to ensure client satisfaction.  Organization, innovation and operational excellence are all required in this role, in addition to unreasonable hospitality. You will oversee a catering manager, supervisors, hourly associates and temp staff.  
 
This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule (2 weekends per year, required). Daytime and evening availability is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing magnificent catering functions consistently
• Team leadership 
• Expertise with event coordination including ordering of rentals, temp labor, etc.
• Planning and completing events from start to finish
• Creativity to create events and proposals per client requests
• Ability to multi-task between numerous projects simultaneously, while remaining very organized and calm in a fast-paced, fluctuating environment
• Ability to build relationships with all clients internal and external

 
Skills:

• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and Internet Research
• High level organizational, financial, and computational skills
• Be self-sufficient, able to work autonomously, and on-the-go from cell phone (whenever necessary)
• Outgoing, professional and willingness to adapt to constant changes
• Ability to execute an event from start to finish with minimal supervision
• Desire to continue career in hospitality, interest in contributing new ideas to improve department overall
