As an AML Compliance Intermediate Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting in depth and timely internal reviews of possible violations of the Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act or securities regulations and all matters related to potential money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and inappropriate securities activity. You will also conduct transaction reviews of clients and draft investigative reports with recommendations for appropriate disposition, which are supported by factual evidence and analysis, to Manager. This role handles more complex regulatory inquiries and investigations and acts as a point of escalation for the junior analysts in the group.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct investigations, prepares suspicious activity reports (SARs) and regulatory filings within mandated timelines.
- Review client trading activity, client file review, conducts due diligence searches and metrics.
- Regularly update and ensure accuracy of all tracking logs for metrics reporting
- Assist in preparing the monthly metrics reporting
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements and documents work product
- Master both proprietary and vendor based systems to help identify solutions to surveillance issues that may arise
- Ensure timely completion of all mandatory training requirements
- Ensure all licenses and certifications are up to date
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes and news in day to day activity
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree required. Finance, Economics or Business degrees preferred.
- 3-5 years business or compliance experience
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task and attention detail.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Capable of executing a range of complex tasks and analysis
- Strong knowledge of Actimize or similar trade surveillance monitoring system
- Working knowledge of securities markets
This role can be based out of the Central NY/Utica region, Tampa, Buffalo and Pittsburgh (fully remote), or our NYC office (hybrid, 3 days per week in office)

Salary Range
Buffalo and Central NY/Utica: $60,000 - $70,000 base salary + annual bonus target
BBH’s compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
