As an Institutional Membership, Chargebacks & Rebates Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting Market Access operations by ensuring accurate membership validation, chargeback adjudication, and rebate-related activities across key customer channels. You will leverage data, analytics, and emerging technologies to drive operational excellence, support Government Pricing activities, and provide actionable insights that help optimize contract performance. This role offers a unique opportunity to partner across Finance, Market Access, Trade Operations, Government Pricing, and Commercial organizations while contributing to a highly compliant and data-driven environment.


 

Job Description

  • Manage and maintain institutional membership data across systems including Model N and SAP, ensuring high levels of accuracy and data integrity

  • Validate chargeback activity, analyze discrepancies, and support resolution of complex wholesaler chargeback and resubmission issues

  • Conduct Class of Trade research and support Government Pricing calculations and compliance requirements

  • Reconcile chargeback deductions and collaborate with Accounts Receivable and business partners to resolve variances         

  • Leverage analytics, dashboards, and external membership rosters to identify trends, anomalies, and business improvement opportunities

  • Partner with wholesalers, GPOs, specialty distributors, HIBCC, HRSA, and internal stakeholders to validate eligibility and resolve membership discrepancies

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through automation, advanced analytics, AI-enabled tools, and process optimization while ensuring compliance with SOX and Novartis policies



Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline

  • Minimum 2 years of experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or related industry

  • Experience supporting chargebacks, rebates, contracts, membership validation, Government Pricing, or related Market Access operations

  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large data sets

  • Fluency in English with excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills


 

Desirable Requirements 
 

  • Experience with Model N, SAP S/4HANA, EDI transaction sets (844, 845, and 849), or related life sciences applications

  • Experience utilizing Power BI, analytics platforms, automation tools, or AI-enabled solutions to improve operational efficiency and decision-making



Benefits & Rewards
 

The salary for this position is expected to range between 60,600 – 103,900 USD Annual per year. 

The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. 

Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
