Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Director, Software Engineering in San Diego, CA to architect, build, deploy and support best-in-class software services to provide the best gaming experience for customers. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience working with product managers and business stakeholders to support business growth and scope out and build new features for global platform rollout. Prior experience must include five (5) years of progressively responsible experience maintaining a commerce platform by leading software engineering teams; representing teams for architecture of systems and data flows and project plans, using the Agile methodology requirements; estimating, planning, and slicing projects to deliver frequent value to production; influencing software development standard methodologies, including lean and agile methodologies, based on industry trends; utilizing object-oriented design and code review skills including C and C++ and Java on a UNIX and Linux platform; building complex high performance, active-active, linearly scalable production services including Enterprise Java and J2EE, JavaScript, Web Services, REST, and SQL and NoSQL data layers; implementing automation leveraging Junit, Rest Assured, TestNG and Selenium Webdriver; and improving performance by identifying potential bottlenecks in the software using Dynatrace, JMeter and LoadRunner. **Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.** Send resumes to SIE-Job-Postings@sony.com & indicate job code MA5421220.
At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
