Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative Senior Scientist to join the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) Group within the Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics, Metabolism and Bioanalytics (PDMB) organization at our company's Research Laboratories in West Point, PA. The Senior Scientist will advance drug candidates by characterizing their absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination (ADME) properties.
Responsibilities include independently designing and conducting experiments, applying in silico, in vitro, and in vivo methods to evaluate drug disposition and drug–drug interaction risk, and informing discovery and development decisions. The role requires strong laboratory execution, data analysis and documentation skills, the ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary project teams, and creativity in developing novel solutions to complex mechanistic and analytical problems. Successful candidates will set high standards for scientific rigor, deliver timely results, and collaborate effectively to drive impact across the pipeline. Education Minimum Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Bioengineering, Toxicology, Biophysics, or another relevant STEM field with 7+ years relevant experience, Master’s degree with 4+ years relevant experience, or Ph.D. with 0+ years relevant experience.
Required Experience and Skills
Experience designing, executing, and interpreting ADME/DMPK studies.
Ability to design and perform hypothesis-driven experiments to advance project goals and deliver reproducible, high-quality data on time.
Hands‑on experience with quantitative bioanalysis (LC‑MS/MS) for small molecules or biologics.
Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail to independently prioritize and execute work with accountability.
Strong ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clearly present experimental results and recommendations to stakeholders.
Preferred Experience and Skills
Experience with PBPK modeling (e.g. Simcyp or Gastroplus).
Track record supporting projects across diverse therapeutic areas and modalities (small molecules, peptides, biologics).
Familiarity with translational/in vivo study design or integration of in vitro–in vivo data to support pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and safety evaluations.
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience.
