Experienced Veterinary Assistant

VCA Redmond Animal Hospital located in Redmond WA is looking for Experienced Veterinary Assistants to join their 3-doctor General Practice!  

We are looking for experienced (minimum 1 year) Veterinary Assistants or CVAs to provide excellent patient care with a focus on wellness and client education. We are willing to train the right person.  Veterinary Assistants are responsible for preparing exam rooms for the doctors and assisting in providing care for the patients hospitalized in the treatment area. 

Schedule: Full-time opportunity. 4/10hr. shifts, Monday-Friday currently, rotating weekends in the future. 

Compensation: Starting at $23 / hour. Pay dependent on experience.

 As a member of the VCA Redmond team, you will support the Technician and Doctor team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

• Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
• Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
• Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Providing compassionate care for our hospitalized animals.
• Maintaining medical records.
• Assisting our wonderful Doctor and Technician staff as needed.
• Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
