Job Summary

 

The role of the Field Auto Adjuster is to assess and evaluate damage to a vehicle (may include automobiles, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, and recreational vehicles) and calculate appropriate compensation for insurance claims. Field Auto Adjusters inspect damaged vehicles both physically and virtually, gather evidence, estimate repair costs, and communicate with multiple stakeholders – policy holders, claimants, repair facilities, and tow yards - to facilitate fair claim settlements.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Help customers navigate the claims process with empathy and efficiency, providing support and guidance throughout
  • Create accurate estimates and supplemental reports by reviewing photos and potentially utilizing video or physical inspections
  • Search for the necessary parts to ensure precise estimations
  • Review, negotiate, and resolve issues with repair facilities, customers, and claimants
  • Handle multiple tasks, including field inspections, quick photo claims, waivers, virtual assistance, technical reviews, and total loss assessments
  • Utilize data and analytics to solve problems and contribute ideas to achieve team goals
  • Work independently as part of a virtual team, occasionally visiting local offices
  • Start your day from home and travel to different locations to deliver outstanding customer service and help restore lives
  • Participate actively on camera during online meetings and training sessions in our virtual environment

Notice of Licensing Requirement

 

  • As a condition of employment, you may be expected to obtain an adjuster’s license in multiple markets
  • All required licenses will need to be obtained within 60 days of hire
  • You must maintain all licensing required for your role. This includes any continuing education and/or other state-affiliated requirements for licensing renewal

Work Location

 

  • This position is a field-based role. To be eligible for this role, you must be located in the Bay Area: Oakland, Concord, Hayward, Livermore, Pleasanton
  • This position is eligible for a monthly internet stipend of $80 to offset the costs of internet expenses
  • Company car may be provided

 

Required Education and Experience

 

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher
  • Minimum 18 months of experience writing auto damage estimates
  • Proficiency using auto estimating programs such as CCC One, Audatex, and Mitchell
  • Valid drivers license
