Job Description:
The Role:
As the Sr. Director Global Medical Affairs, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the newly established Medical Affairs function globally. Your role will involve identifying the medical and scientific needs of the organization while strategically engaging with government affairs to ensure compliance and advocate for our interests in the evolving regulatory landscape.
What you’ll do:
Primary Responsibilities:
Establish, develop, and scale a new Medical Affairs area focused on generating innovative clinical evidence, medical communications strategies, and KOL engagement in support of Beauty Health’s portfolio.
Collaborate closely with regulatory teams to design, execute, and monitor clinical studies, including the pursuit of novel medical device clearances, ensuring successful FDA submissions.
Plan and analyze data for internal studies that support new product launches, while engaging with KOLs to gain insights that inform commercial strategies.
Set the strategy for Advisory Boards and meetings to engage KOLs on clinical, medical, and scientific matters, emphasizing collaboration with government entities as needed.
Develop comprehensive content for medical and clinical events, including podium talks, workshops, and training programs, ensuring alignment with government regulations and standards.
Lead the creation of scientific communication plans for all executed studies, including peer-reviewed publications and congress presentations.
Represent the organization at official events, speaking on behalf of the medical function and advocating for our initiatives in front of government bodies and stakeholders.
Provide clinical and scientific reviews of potential commercial partnerships, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and governmental policies.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing leaders to identify and address medical and scientific needs that drive sales, while helping translate those needs into impactful clinical efforts.
Create educational materials addressing scientific inquiries, adverse events, and complications, tailored for both internal training and external stakeholder engagement.
Establish and refine SOPs for addressing inquiries and requests from providers, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and effective communication with government affairs.
Oversee and track the budget for all Medical Affairs activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Collaborate with regulatory teams to enhance SOPs for reporting adverse events, ensuring compliance with governmental standards.
