Why You Will Love this Job:

Under the supervision of the Manager, Operations Aftermarket Parts, the Aftermarket Parts Planner, will administer the Aftermarket Parts Department policies to consistently achieve the desired service levels.  The Aftermarket Parts Planner will communicate directly with suppliers to expedite parts and obtain prices, availability, and order status to consistently achieve Customer delivery metrics.

  • Work Mode: Hybrid 2-3 a week in office

  • Location: 200 Twin Oaks Road Kohler WI 50344

  • Travel: 10% travel US only

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring new or transfer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute AMPS Supply Plan to meet Sales & Operations financial plan.

  • Execute plan on forecasted stock levels needed to meet expected sales.

  • Actively engage with AMP Sales Manager’s to help achieve sales plans.

  • Coordinate/Maintain relationships with internal KPS vendors to meet Customer order date requirements.

  • Expedite and Stock parts sourced from Kohler Power Systems Production.

  • Work with Manager of Purchasing KPS and Production Scheduling to improve stocking and procurement strategies for internally procured parts.

  • Create production orders and issue stock transport orders as needed to bring stock into service parts warehouse.

Coordinate/Maintain relationships with outside vendors to meet customer needs.

  • Issue/ Expedite purchase orders, if needed, to maintain stock and fill customer demand

  • Coordinate and verify pricing changes with KPS Purchasing and vendors as they happen to ensure best pricing for Kohler.

  • Maintain appropriate availability of parts from outside vendors and coordinate discontinuance and last time buys as needed.

Create opportunities to improve stock levels on Service Parts products.

  • Execute forecasting and safety stock changes to improve availability to customers.

  • Support Project Analyst and Product Manager to ensure appropriate levels of initial stock are purchased and stocked on New Product Development projects.

Service Parts Warehouse Coordination:

  • Assist personnel on purchase order issues including part identification and quantity changes.

  • Coordinate cross-functional projects with Warehouse Management to optimize purchasing, receiving, stocking, and packaging of service parts.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist Manager, Manager, Operations Aftermarket Parts, PS NA on special projects and initiatives as required.

Experience:

  • Two-year associate degree required

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field

  • Prefer a certification from leading Supply Chain Professional Organization (CSCMP, APICS, ISM).

  • Knowledge of materials/production scheduling, and/or warehousing and logistics, an/or production control preferred. 

  • Prior material management experience in a global manufacturing environment is preferred.
