Our Azure Strategic Deals team is an exciting and an evolving finance organization at the forefront of Microsoft’s cloud growth. We partner deeply with Microsoft engineering, sales, and business development teams to build strategic deals that deliver maximum value. 

We are looking for an Finance Manager - Azure Commercial Deals to lead some of our largest and most strategic Azure deals. This role focuses on defining the best competitive strategy to land successful long-term partnerships by applying robust technical, financial, and business expertise.

Responsibilities


 The main responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with internal and external executives to clearly articulate the outcome of complex financial analyses
  • Partnering with Strategic Sales, Business Development, Engineering, and other teams to guide healthy Azure partnerships 
  • Finding creative ways to maximize probability of winning deals, with strong ROI and controlled risks 
  • Leveraging detailed financial models to evaluate complex transactions and guide negotiations guardrails
  • Continuous learning of Microsoft Cloud services, infrastructure, operations, go-to-market, and long-term cloud economics. 

 

Protect

  • Ensures compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring the accuracy of financial documents and business processes.
  • Drives corrective measures.
  • Supports questions regarding documentation, policy adherence, and requirements.
  • Recommends approved instruments and processes. Remains current on all company policies and procedures and updates others.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications 

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field 
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field 
    • OR equivalent experience. 

 

  • 2+ Years experience managing stakeholders in Strategic Sales, Business Development, Engineering, or other like teams  

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Corporate communication skills, enabling simple communication of complex topics to an executive audience

  • Analytical skills and strategic thinking 
  • 2+ years experience managing ambiguity and uncertainty in a business that evolves at a fast pace 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines 
  • Professional level of self-motivation; ability to quickly identify what needs to be accomplished and resourcefulness to get things done 

Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,800 - $151,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco
