Prophesee is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their team in Paris.

JOB DESCRIPTION

One of the primary objectives of Prophesee is to push for the maturation of event-based vision, which requires the contribution of experts from many different fields ranging from the design of innovative algorithms to the industrialization of processing pipelines.

With the present position opening, Prophesee is looking to consolidate its team of software developers working on the design, implementation and maintenance of its software embedded on mobile platforms.

For this purpose, we are looking for an experienced engineer to work in collaboration with our talented team of experts in Computer Vision, Machine Learning and System platforms, with the mission to drive the development of our commercial software suite and processing pipelines and to contribute to their successful deployment in the operational environments of our customers.

This position will require:

• Excellent analytic and programming skills, to contribute to the architecture, design and development of our software pipelines  Adaptability, willing to work at several levels of the system, starting from hardware bring-up to driver, middleware and application layer
• Great inter-personal skills, to collaborate and communicate effectively with computer vision and machine learning engineers in order to make sure that the system runs in real time with low latency on the targeted platform
• Outstanding rigor and attention to details, to contribute increasing the code-base quality and reliability

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement software systems for embedding signal processing pipelines on mobile platforms.
• Interact permanently with the computer and machine learning engineers to jointly design the best implementation.
• Take ownership of the performance of the algorithms and pipelines on the platform
• Contribute to the success of customer deliveries

The position does not involve extensive travel but may occasionally require travelling internationally to meet customers and prospects.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or other relevant technical field
• 5 years of experience in efficient software programming with C/C++
• Experience of development on ARM platforms running Linux

Key differentiators

• Experience with developing processing pipelines on embedded platforms or native code applications for Android devices
• Experience with Qualcomm / Snapdragon SoCs
• Experience with Python and/or Java
• Familiarity with Agile software development principles and practices

Language skills: English is mandatory as it is the working language of the company.
