<p>CE Legal advises regional management on all legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate law and restructurings, strategic partnerships, and the implementation of group-wide governance requirements. Our team also collaborates closely with the local legal departments and the respective Group Function.</p>
<p>We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel with a strong background in the insurance industry to join our team.</p>
<p>As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will be a key contributor to the Allianz Central Europe regional legal team. Your responsibilities will include leading and managing M&A projects, providing guidance on contracts and commercial law matters, and delivering business-oriented legal advice to safeguard the company's interests while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Working within a small, dynamic team, you are expected to take initiative and operate independently. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in promoting community building and sharing best practices throughout the region</p>

<p><strong>What you do:</strong></p>
<ul type="disc">
<li>Provide expert legal advice and support to the regional management on all legal matters, including corporate, commercial and insurance (supervisory) law.</li>
<li>Manage and oversee legal aspects of projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery of legal services.</li>
<li>Lead, manage, and advise on corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, and other strategic initiatives such as bancassurance partnerships.</li>
<li>Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including but not limited to intercompany and external service agreements.</li>
<li>Ensure appropriate governance in Allianz Holding eins GmbH and the CE region, develop and implement legal policies and procedures to ensure best practices and compliance.</li>
<li>Implement the evolving regional operating model, identifying areas for improving effectiveness and efficiency, reducing complexity.</li>
<li>Foster a collaborative environment within the legal team, Allianz Holding eins GmbH and across the Region.</li>

<p><strong>What you bring:</strong></p>
<ul type="disc">
<li>Fully qualified lawyer with a minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the insurance industry.</li>
<li>Fluent in English. Business fluency in German or other languages in the CE region would be an advantage.</li>
<li>Forward-thinking approach to legal practice, with an emphasis on strategic thinking.</li>
<li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.</li>
<li>Strong team player and ability to establish and maintain working relationships with col-leagues from different backgrounds, functions, and cultures.</li>
<li>Collaborative and proactive mindset.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Being resourceful: able to manage large responsibilities within a small team. Good ability to work autonomously</li>
<li>Basic familiarity with available AI tools such as ChatGPT</li>

<p><strong>Job information:</strong></p>
<p>Start date: asap | Working hours: 40 hours per week | Location: ICON Towers - directly at Vienna Central Station, 1100 Vienna |</p>
<p>Annual gross salary: 110,000 EUR (full-time basis). Overpay is possible in case of and depending on appropriate experience, qualifications and commitment.</p>
