What you’ll do:
As the Manager, Front Store Marketing Strategy – Photo & General Merchandise, you’ll be part of the team focused on driving CVS Front Store business utilizing marketing solutions across paid (e.g. Digital, SEM/ SEO, Social, Radio, TV), owned (e.g. email, in-store) and earned (e.g. influencers) channels to support the Photo & General Merchandise marketing strategy as well as develop content based on specific customer segments.
The manager will play a critical role in supporting marketing efforts and working cross-functionally to help ensure marketing initiatives deliver the necessary business and consumer outcomes on-time and on-strategy. Partnering closely with the Sr. Manager, FS Marketing Strategy you will drive omni-channel retail trips. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, FS Marketing Strategy and will work closely with many cross-functional partners including Merchandising, Social, Influencer, PR, Digital, Loyalty & Personalization, Store Operations, Finance, Legal, and external agencies.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with the Sr. Marketing Manager and business partners across the organization, the Front Store Marketing Manager will specifically be responsible for the following:
Partner with the Sr. Marketing Manager in developing the marketing strategy by preparing competitive analysis, leveraging analytics to recommend campaign optimizations, and putting together materials to communicate strategy to both internal and external partners.
Lead execution of marketing strategies and tactics across earned, owned and paid channels. Tactics include email, paid media, affiliate, social, PR, influencer, direct mail, in-store, and more. Must deliver work that is on-time and on-strategy for key consumer groups.
Manage and develop strong, collaborative relationships with business partners across the organization to ensure marketing initiatives meet deadlines.
Leverage analytics to measure campaign success and support optimization to deliver desired results.
Must understand how to create content to a channel’s technical specifications and how to properly advise creative to build to specifications.
Apply lessons learned and continuously improve the way that way is developed and delivered, providing feedback and implementing changes to optimize internal processes.
Act as an independent self-starter and anticipate requests to properly execute projects and initiatives.
Be able to negotiate compromises, have difficult conversations and manage up/across/down within and across teams in a positive and collaborative spirit.
Ensure all marketing materials are on-strategy and meet marketing, brand, and legal guidelines.
Proactively self-educate around retail and marketing industry trends to identify best practice opportunities and influence marketing strategies.
Support development of annual marketing plans in support of Beauty activations, helping to define the key initiatives for the beauty segment for ongoing campaigns, including partnership with the Owned Social team
Required Qualifications
5 years of overall work experience
3+ years of marketing experience with a strong foundation of business, retailer, and consumer understanding
2+ years of retail marketing or retail agency/strategy experience
1+ years of digital marketing experience
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of brand or category management experience a plus
1+ years of shopper marketing experience a plus
