Job Overview:

LPL Financial is seeking a Sr. Engineer to join its IAM team within the Information Security department.  We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Engineer specializing in ForgeRock Identity Governance and Administration (IGA). As a senior technical member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, implementing, and optimizing ForgeRock IGA solutions to meet complex identity management and governance needs. You’ll work with stakeholders across business units to ensure compliance, scalability, and security of identity-related processes. This is a very technical, hands-on experience role.

Responsibilities:

    • Onboard new applications to the identity platform, ensuring seamless integration and data synchronization.

    • Customize configurations to address unique business requirements and automate identity lifecycle management tasks.

  • Governance and Compliance:

    • Lead the implementation of governance policies, role-based access controls (RBAC), and segregation of duties (SoD).

    • Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and resolve audit findings.

  • Optimization and Automation:

    • Optimize identity workflows and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual interventions.

    • Create advanced automation scripts to support provisioning, deprovisioning, and governance processes.

  • Team Leadership and Collaboration:

    • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and share best practices for ForgeRock solutions.

    • Partner with cross-functional teams, vendors, and business units to deliver tailored solutions aligned with organizational goals.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for strong collaborators who deliver exceptional client experiences and thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environments. Our ideal candidates pursue greatness, act with integrity, and are driven to help our clients succeed. We value those who embrace creativity, continuous improvement, and contribute to a culture where we win together and create and share joy in our work.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with ForgeRock Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms, including IdM and AM.

  • Expertise in identity lifecycle management, governance frameworks, and compliance standards.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, JavaScript, Python) and API integrations.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.

Core Competencies:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, ability to identify root causes of issues, provide solutions, and communicate to leadership

Preferences:

  • Industry-relevant information security and IAM certifications: J2EE, CISSP (strongly preferred, but not required)

  • Optional: Experience in cloud-based identity solutions or DevOps tools.

  • Ability to work with geographically distributed and cross-functional teams

  • Use of ITIL methodologies for path-to-production and JIRA stories
