Compensation Range: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset).
Hours Worked: Typically, Monday through Friday, forty-hours per week. However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.
Position Summary:
The Molecular Biologist II is responsible for helping develop innovative therapies for the treatment of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases and their associated complications using cell based assays and molecular biology techniques. They are highly organized, able to execute and develop protocols for various laboratory techniques and adhere to good research practice (GRP) requirements. They are a detail-oriented laboratory scientist, laboratory responsibilities independently or with little guidance from client scientists and can deliver data in a timely manner. They exhibit quality and compliance in their daily work. They are a champion of and promote the organization's Values and Absolutes. The Molecular Biologist III will complete their regular assigned daily work while meeting the expectations outlined below.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Establish and run cell based assays (in both primary cells and immortalized cell lines) followed by analysis of mRNA (qPCR) and protein levels (Western Blot and ELISA) in cells, supernatant, and tissues.
- Execute a wide variety of protein based molecular techniques including PCR, MSD, PBMC isolation, ELISA, qPCR, Western Blotting, Flow Cytometry, and other biochemical assays
- Perform various mammalian cell culture techniques and transfections
- Understand and adhere to standards for appropriate test methods and SOP’s.
- Prepare a variety of samples for testing using prescribed testing methods, following testing standards / specifications.
- Accurately report and record test data in electronic notebook or handwritten notebooks as needed in a timely manner
- Prepare a variety of equipment for testing using prescribed standards / specifications
- Maintain supplies, lab cleanliness and analytical instrumentation, as required
- Performs testing independently with little or no supervision from management
- Prepares written technical reports.
- Perform basic data analysis as assigned
- Assist with training
- Follow the guidelines set forth with clients and in the Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Comply with clients and Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc management systems in accordance with appropriate regulatory agencies.
- Adhere to the requirements of the BV-CPS Quality System.
Skills & Proficiencies:
- Strong using aseptic techniques and cell culture experience.
- Strong fundamental lab techniques and familiarity including safe usage and storage of chemicals, and strong pipetting skills (single and multichannel)
- Written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively in a group setting, with colleagues and clients.
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet or exceed
