Hubject Financial Services GmbH was founded in 2024 as a subsidiary of Hubject GmbH. We are a startup consisting of 7 experts covering functions like project, risk and legal management. So, you will naturally support in various topics as part of a small team, learn a lot and contribute to building a new company.

As Senior Manager – Risk and Outsourcing Management (all genders), you will take a leading role in managing all non-financial and financial risks within Hubject Financial Services (HFS), including fulfilling the official functions of Outsourcing Officer and Digital Operational Resilience (DOR) Officer. You will work closely with the CFO/CRO and act as a key driver in designing and maintaining a resilient, future-proof risk and outsourcing framework.

Your Tasks

• You are responsible for the comprehensive risk management of Hubject FS, covering both non-financial risks (i.e. operational, ICT, outsourcing, etc.) and financial risks, formulating processes and measures to minimize these risks.
• You lead the institution’s outsourcing and further outsourcing management, supporting departments in the continuous identification, assessment, and monitoring of associated risks.
• You maintain and further develop the company’s risk control system, including all related processes, policies, and guidelines, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks such as ZAG MaRisk.
• You are responsible for creating regular risk analyses, including outsourcing risk assessments, operational resilience (DOR) assessments, financial risk reports, and structured governance reporting for internal decision-making bodies.
• You work closely with the Information Security Officer (ISO) of Hubject GmbH to ensure a coordinated approach to ICT security risk management and resilience across internal and outsourced services.
• You coordinate actively with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure operational resilience, risk transparency, and effective risk mitigation in all critical and important business areas.
• You contribute to internal and external audits, BaFin inspections, and governance meetings, providing professional risk reporting and proactive recommendations.

Your Profile

• 5+ years of experience in risk management in a financial services institution, ideally in payment services or fintech.
• Academic degree in business administration, finance, economics, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• Expert knowledge of regulatory requirements for payment institutions (ZAG/PSD2) as well as ZAG MaRisk and DORA.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, especially in cross-functional settings with C-level and business owners.
• Analytical, KPI-driven, structured, and used to managing initiatives independently. Strong skills in project management.
• Entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable in dynamic, international environments.

Language

• Fluent in German and English, written and spoken.
