Summary of Role:

Our Fab 9 Team, Essex Junction, VT, is seeking a Principle Process Engineer. The individual selected for this position will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering organization with primary responsibilities focused on support and continuous improvement of 200mm semiconductor equipment. This role is fully on site.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Develops and modifies process formulations, methods and controls to meet quality standards

  • Create, analyze and review technical charts

  • Be able to use critical thinking and problem solving skills to solve challenging, complex problems

  • Be open-minded and work collaboratively with others

  • Responsible for availability of owned toolsets while meeting quality standards

  • Responsible for meeting quality targets for owned toolsets

  • Establish SOP (Standard operating process) and FMEA (Failure mode and effects analysis) for related processes

  • Understand product development requirements and qualify processes on owned toolsets to meet those requirements

  • Integrates equipment and material capabilities to meet process module and technology specifications

  • Drive CIP (Continuous improvement plans) to improve process performance cost, throughput, and yield

  • Lead cross functional teams to deliver organizational goals

  • Mentor engineers and process technicians to develop talent within the organization

  • Able to time manage effectively and prioritize projects independently

  • Able to lead projects independently and deliver on committed dates for closure

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education -- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field + 4-6 years' relevant experience

  • Fluency in English language - both Written and Verbal

  • Travel - up to 10% travel may be required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong planning & organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, and internal and external partners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in engineering or related field + 2-4 years' relevant experience

  • PhD + 1-2 years' relevant experience

  • Knowledge of semiconductor/silicon processing

  • Understanding and knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE)

  • Prior experience working in a semiconductor cleanroom environment

  • Prior experience working as an engineer in semiconductor manufacturing

  • Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Expected Salary Range

$77,000.00 - $142,000.00
