JOB TITLE: Director of OCM, North America



Summary: This position involves responsibility for the accurate and efficient management of  administrative, financial, business planning, budgeting and operational matters of the Oil Condition Monitoring (OCM) business unit of Fuels North America.
 

Possess a good degree of business and administrative ability. The work is performed under the general guidelines and procedures of Bureau Veritas Commodities and Trade, Inc. (BV)
Commodities Trade Division of BV Fuels North America and part of the duties could be as below described. *Must be authorized to work in the United States.* Represent the policies, ethics, and culture of the company in a leadership role.


Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management of profit & loss (P&L) of the business unit, including training subordinates on strategies to achieve financial performance targets.
  • Prepares corporate reports in a timely manner, including monthly control goals an monthly P&L projections.
  • Responsible for consistent day-to-day operation and customer satisfaction in compliance with all governing bodies, guidelines and procedures.
  • Work effectively with and monitors performance for all division leadership roles, site/office/lab managers and ensures total business performance.
  • Immediately resolves customer requests and or complaints.
  • Manages compliance with all federal, state and local wages and laws.
  • Prevent claims and customer complaints. If these should occur, find solution.
  • Assumes responsibility for ensuring all employees are in total compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for client marketing and development.
  • Develop and implement strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.
  • Identify acquisition and merger opportunities and direct implementation activities.
  • Grow business in Oil Conditioning Monitoring and sell/educate clients on other Fuels services in support of the growth of the entire operating group portfolio.
  • Ensure local managers provide adequate training to employees to perform all required job functions and that competency records are maintained.
  • Represent Bureau Veritas BV by appearance and conduct. Behave ethically at all times.
  • Ensure business practices meet or exceed company policy and industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance in all areas.
  • Other duties as assigned by your leader.

  • Excellent in Leadership and Teamwork.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Skilled in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures. Experience in formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures. Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources.
