$106,604.71 - $170,567.54The Director of Faculty Practice Nursing Operations coordinates, plans, directs, implements and manages nursing caregivers in the delivery of patient care at the faculty practice sites, including the Float Pool.Responsible for direct patient care provided by the nursing staff in the outpatient practice settings. The Director assures that competent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers including referring providers, and patients in the ambulatory and community settings.
The Director develops, implements, and evaluates policies, programs and services consistent with the system mission and the Practice's vision and philosophy. They provide direction and support to practice-based leadership, and collaborates with other service and department leaders toward attainment of short and long-term goals and objectives.
As a member of the nursing executive management team, the Director participates in the efficient and effective management of the department of nursing, and the development of its strategic plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic and Operational Planning
Develops and achieves annual nursing and clinical operations goals that support Faculty Practice strategic priorities, including patient access, care quality, workforce optimization, and practice growth. departmental goals and assigned organizational objectives, which support the system goals and mission statement.
Assists in the development of evidence-based clinical and operational goals and works collaboratively with the department chairs and practice administrators to align nursing strategy with Faculty Practice performance objectives.
Facilitates nursing and clinical workflow across Faculty Practice sites to achieve organizational goals related to patient throughput, access, safety, and care team effectiveness.
Participates in identification of indicators to measure accomplishments of strategic plan
Partners with practice administration to identify and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to ambulatory nursing operations, including staffing effectiveness, clinical quality, patient experience, and access metrics.
Provides nursing leadership in the development and implementation of long-range ambulatory clinical policies, care delivery models, and workforce strategies that support Faculty Practice growth and evolving care models.
Ensures nursing and clinical operations across Faculty Practice sites align with regulatory, accreditation, and scope of practice standards applicable to ambulatory care settings.
Planning and Program Management
Provides administrative direction and coordination in the formulation, interpretation and administration of current policies, procedures, and programs.
Evaluates program outcomes and makes modifications as needed.
Analyzes policy decisions to determine short and long-term financial and organizational implications and prepares related reports reflecting recommendations.
Maintains all policies, procedures, and systems in compliance with regulatory standards
Supports implementation of new clinical programs, service line expansions, and practice acquisitions by aligning nursing workflows, staffing plans, and competency development with operational needs
Operational Management
Responsible for the day-to-day clinical operations across Faculty Practice sites, ensuring effective care team workflows, appropriate staffing alignment, and safe, efficient patient care delivery in the ambulatory setting.
Monitors and reviews the work of clinical personnel to ensure meeting Faculty Practice goals.
Demonstrates effective leadership techniques as indicated by high productivity.
Responds to changes in work efficiently and effectively.
Support implementation and utilization of clinical nursing research.
Evaluate program/student placement effectiveness on an ongoing basis.
Educate and market the roles and responsibilities of nursing to a variety of audiences in the lay and professional community
Collaborates with practice administration to design and refine staffing models, role optimization, and care team structures that support patient volume, clinic throughput, and access goals.
Partners with practice administration and physician leadership to identify workflow barriers and lead process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, patient experience, and team effectivene
