As a hands-on expert in Ansys products, you will use advanced-level engineering knowledge to provide technical pre-sales support, perform professional services, and help translate customer requirements into exciting new product features. You will be working within multi-disciplinary teams to advance your knowledge, experience, and business impact.</p> <p> </p> <p>Key Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Apply advanced engineering expertise and knowledge of semiconductor technologies to provide the highest level of technical support to customers, ensuring high-quality, timely customer service that results in improved customer satisfaction and productivity.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Take ownership of customer problems, proactively engage with selected accounts to provide comprehensive solutions. Work independently and contribute to all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, interact with customers to understand their product design needs and engineering design workflows and articulate Ansys’ value proposition.</li> <li>Provide intermediate and/or advanced training classes. Scope and deliver professional services for projects which may include collaborative work with other application engineers in the same or different disciplines.</li> <li>Gather customer requirements to support the improvement of Ansys software and collaborate with the Ansys product development teams to translate customer requirements into new product capabilities. Test new releases on industrial problems.</li> <li>Participates in internal corporate initiatives to share knowledge and to create best practices, both within and outside of the disciplines.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Required education and degree type: BS or MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor, Computer Science or a related field.</li> <li>Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering environment: BS+5, MS+3 or PhD+0.</li> <li>Experience in the areas of Custom circuit analysis, RTL design, RTL to GDS flow, High-performance VLSI design, Power-grid extraction, Timing analysis, Noise analysis, Voltage drop and Reliability aspects with various CAD tools to solve problems in complex System-on-Chip (SoC)</li> <li>Technical knowledge related to EDA tools on layout, STA, Extraction-SPEF/DSPF or Spice</li> <li>UNIX operating systems and Solid TCL, Python programming skills</li> <li>Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to facilitate and conduct webinars and presentations to customers and a wide range of audiences. Fluent in writing and speaking English. </li> <li>Ability to work on multiple projects which are complex in nature across geographically diverse locations. </li> <li>Strong organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgency.</li> <li>Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed</li> <li>Ability to travel up to 30% of time.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Preferred Qualifications and Skills</p> <ul> <li>Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering environment: BS+8, MS+6 or PhD+3.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>2 years of experience in application engineering, customer support, or consulting services type customer facing roles using engineering software.  </li> </ul> <p>Demonstrated ability to understand business requirements and translate these into an execution plan that delivers value and meets business goals.</p> <p> </p> <p>At Ansys, we know that changing the world takes vision, skill, and each other.
