About the Role
As a Senior Product Consultant, you are being brought in for a high-impact, mission-critical mandate: to architect and launch our Cross-Currency (XCS) and Interest Rate Swap (IRS) product suite.
You will act as the Global SME, defining how we price, book, and manage these derivatives while navigating the intricacies of interest rate products (e.g., SOFR, SONIA, EURIBOR).
What you’ll do
- Interest Rate Swaps & Cross-Currency Rate Swaps Product Launch: Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for Cross-Currency and Interest Rate Swaps, from initial scoping and pricing, underwriting to trade confirmation and settlement workflows.
- Technical Architecture & Lifecycle Management: Define the mechanics of IRs swap execution and lifecycle management.
- Cross-Domain Program Management: Orchestrate the delivery of the IRs swaps pilot roadmap across Treasury (liquidity management), Risk (credit lines and MTM valuations), Legal/Compliance (documentation), Data and Engineering.
- Regulatory & Market Compliance: Ensure the product suite adheres to global derivatives reporting standards (e.g., EMIR, MiFID II).
- Operational Processes & Documentation: Create the definitive "Source of Truth" for IR swaps. This includes internal operational manuals and client-facing educational materials.
- Commercial Strategy: Partner with Sales and Trading to identify high-value client segments (e.g., corporate treasurers with long-term debt exposure) and tailor the product launch to solve their interest rate and currency risk.
What you’ll need
- 7+ Years in Financial Product Management: Deep expertise specifically in Interest Rate Derivatives and Cross-Currency Swaps.
- Execution Track Record: Proven experience launching complex financial products from "zero to one" in a regulated environment.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep familiarity with regulatory frameworks and the reporting requirements for Over-The-Counter (OTC) derivatives.
- Project Leadership: The ability to lead cross-functional squads without direct authority, moving at the pace required by a high-growth fintech.
- Communication: Ability to translate complex quantitative finance concepts into clear requirements for data and developers and strategic business cases for the C-suite.
Contract Deliverables
1. Phase I: Pilot & MVP Execution
The initial focus is on validating and launching the core trade lifecycle for Interest Rate Swaps (IRS) and Cross-Currency Swaps (XCS).
- Launch Parameters: Execute the Pilot/MVP with a select group of pilot clients to test execution, settlement and trade lifecycle.
- Documentation Suite: Finalize internal documentation and external-facing client manuals.
2. Quantitative & Risk Frameworks
- Pricing & Valuation: Define and calibrate the Pricing Frameworks.
- Establish Mark-to-Market (MtM) logic and Underwriting Frameworks to assess counterparty credit risk and margin requirements.
- Implement robust control frameworks to monitor product risk.
3. Operational & Governance Infrastructure
Moving from manual workarounds to automation.
- Finalize workflows and automated regulatory reporting logic.
