Analytics is a specialized, centralized, and cross-functional team that collaborates with product / engineering, growth, operations, and marketing to drive decision-making at Lyft. The team leads ambitious projects, interacts regularly with our executive team, and develops key strategic frameworks for all business areas.

Our team is growing rapidly, and we’re looking for an analytics leader with the ability and experience to help us scale. As a leader on the team, you’ll be responsible for building and promoting the analytic frameworks Lyft uses to make decisions. You’ll be leading analysts, but also managing relationships and expectations from operational teams in the company.

Responsibilities:

• Build and lead a high-performing team of analysts and data scientists.
• Oversee and project manage technical work and analyses produced by the team.
• Collaborate and partner with cross-functional leaders in product, engineering, marketing, finance, and operations.
• Lead and prioritize deep dives into our data to uncover new product and business opportunities.
• Develop analytical frameworks, roadmaps, and metrics for the team and broader organization
• Serve as a champion of sound decision-making at all levels of the company

Experience & Skills:

• 7+ years experience in an analytics role or equivalent; 3+ years management experience
• B.S. in economics, applied math, statistics or other quantitative field; M.S or Ph.D. preferred
• Highly proficient with SQL, standard statistical packages, and scripting languages
• Strong oral and written communication skills; extremely attentive to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment

Starting in September 2023, this role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.

The expected range of pay for this position in the San Francisco area is $117,000- $130,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
