Base salary from $121,508 - $137,032 plus 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
Central Operations Services (COS) is responsible for the ongoing use of our infrastructure, through a focus on the strategic whole-of-life asset management, protective services, safety, as well as enhanced delivery of essential operational services which delivers to our sustainability objectives. COS manages building/facilities and ground services and maintenance, repairs, cleaning, internal mail, waste collection and recycling, protective services, building access, and venue bookings, and client-service teams.
Central Operations Services are hiring an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee the management of the University vehicle fleet to ensure it is managed compliantly, safely, efficiently and in line with University Policy. The Fleet Manager manages the relationship with and is the primary point of contact with the external Fleet Management services provider. They also coordinate activities with and provide support to local vehicle custodians in Faculties and Professional Services Units, and Non-University Entities, to ensure fleet management objectives are met.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
manage all University fleet related activities to ensure vehicles, vessels and registered plant and equipment are managed compliantly, safely and efficiently
manage administrative systems and practices, efficiently, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, university policies and procedures
manage fleet related expenditure, payments and receipts
develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders and staff across the University, as well as with a broad range of external stakeholders.
About you
The successful candidate will be an experienced Fleet Management professional who:
hold a valid Australian driver license
experience in managing a large fleet of assets
experience in working with a diverse group of key stakeholders and the ability to develop/cultivate productive relationships with key contributors
financial management experience, including budget management
extensive experience managing supplier relationships to deliver cost effective and quality outcomes.
