Job Summary

  • Monday - Friday
  • 7am - 4pm
  • $18.50 - 21.50 / hr.

 

The Fleet Specialist is responsible for providing operational support through the coordination of the quality, service, and administrative functions in the pickup and delivery area. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the dispatch of transportation equipment is in accordance with the dispatch plan, minimizes costs, and ensures service integrity. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor facility reporting metrics related to service, safety, cost, and quality

• Address potential performance issues with drivers

• Review inaccuracies in generated reports with Watco team members and third-party service providers, and correct as appropriate

• Communicate day-to-day operations and load plan changes with drivers

• Investigate and communicate customer service complaints

• Report schedule delays, accidents, and equipment failures and implement contingency plans

• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications

• Administrative support or customer service experience recommended

• Experience using web-based routing software preferred

• Time management and organizational skills preferred in handing various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to acheive daily assignments and goals

• Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with various audiences 

• Use basic computer skills - Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and data entry

Education

High School or GED equivalent
